The Grand Del Mar’s design honors the indelible architecture of visionary Addison Mizner (1872-1933), the famed architect who drew his inspiration from Spain’s palaces, France’s sun-washed coastal retreats and Florence’s decorative arts to define the resort communities of Palm Beach and Boca Raton.

The nature of the architecture pays homage to outdoor space, a fitting style for San Diego’s inclination towards outdoor relaxation and entertainment. The resort’s elaborate interiors move gracefully onto generous patios and verandas overlooking a lush mix of tropical and indigenous flora, punctuated by dramatic fountains and meandering walkways.
